4th of July weekend!!!

Dear Maizy,

It was your first 4th of July and what a great one it was!?!?   I had SO much fun with you.  Friday night after work we rushed down to your Uncle Richard's house for the Annual 4th of July Parade and BBQ.  We got there and got all setup for the parade.  You LOVED it.  There was tonz of kids, candy and noises!  You weren't scared of anything.  I thought for sure that the police and fire engine sirens would scare you, but they didn't.  After the parade we ate dinner.  You weren't too interested in eating as much as playing and climbing around!!  You looked darling in your red outfit.  You would wave selectively at people and smiled a ton!!

Friday we got home and went to bed.  Saturday we woke up hung out.  You had your new Dora jammies on that Grandma Shelly bought for you!

Then we eventually got ready for the day and we headed to Sandy for your first birthday party.  It was for my friends Kristy's son Gavin. He was turning 1!!  We didn't get to stay long since we were going back home to watch the fireworks.  At the party you played in the kiddie pool for a bit then we went home ate some food and went up to Eagle Ridge Golf Course in North Salt Lake to the spot that your father reserved to watch the fireworks.  You were being so cute and wouldn't you know it - my camera died the minute we got up there!! UGH!!! Your first firework show was by far my favorite!!  Watching your face light up was very memorable and super awesome for me.

We got home and went to bed.  Sunday we didn't have any plans!!!  It was a first and it was awesome!!!  Your dad went to the store and got you your first pool.  We all got in our suits, filled your pool up, threw some toys in there and played in the water for a few. It was 101 degrees on Sunday!! YIKES!!!  Needless to say I did join you in your pool.

Sunday was a great day!!  Monday was the 4th of July!!!  YAY!!  We woke up made crepes, got ready for the day and went to Grandma's for a bbq.  It was a good time and we finally got to see Aunt Brittany and Patrick!!!!  When we got home you caught a second wind and was just busy running and playing until late into the evening. Your dad gave you a mohawk and you would hardly hold still for us to capture a picture. I sure love you, your energy, your smile, your spirit and your mohawk of course!!

Thank you!  Thank you!  For the wonderful, fun filled weekend.  I love you with all that I am.

Love,
mom
